“Do not follow where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”—Ralph Waldo Emerson

This favorite quote of Bev’s describes how she is living her film right now.  A self-described “tomboy or jock,” Bev played softball, volleyball, basketball and ran track in high school and has downhill skied since 8th grade. She started playing golf as an adult and has newly taken up tennis.

“What Team Film means to me is inclusion after my Huntington’s Disease. I can’t perform athletically like I used to but I don’t feel judged when I can not longer run a marathon or lose my balance.”—Bev Hartig

For those who do not know Bev, she was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease in 1999 and has spent the past year telling her story to raise awareness and funding for research about the disease through her own organization, The Bev Hartig Huntington’s Disease Foundation.
